You wrote: "It is a shame that other countries have been using them for years. Like 50 years. Are we a Third World country that we cannot get it together?" Not Third World but we are moving toward Second World in that we lag behind a lot of other countries in a lot of other areas.

Oh. OK, you are referring to all taxes. I was specifically responding to gas taxes because that was what the article was about. I agree that taxes at most levels should be reduced.

California DID lower their gas tax, however, from 39.5 cents to 36, but that wa just puttin it back to the level of July 2013 when they raided it the 3.5 cents.

You have actually seen gasoline taxes cut? The federal gas tax began in 1932 at one cent per gallon. The last increase wa in 1993 when it rose to 18.4 cents, and has remained the same since And how did a gas tax rebate work? That is foreign to me but I would love that..

I'm 59 years old and I have never seen a decrease in gas taxes, or tolls, only increases, except when Jacksonville Florida removed tolls from their bridges.

Michigan has plenty of pipelines already. Please check this link and scroll down to the bottom to see the U.S. pipeline map...

Teenitup, et al. seem to be having a melt down on the "Fracking Growth Moves Too Rapidly for Environmental Caution" article. Guess all those *SH*TROLL* lies are taking their toll on the GB TROLL population. My links to the EPA site showing the Halliburton Loophole changes to the Clean Drinking Water Act always sets off hysteria among the misinformation SHILL patrol. What sort of low life takes a job lying to the public about serious health threats? I would still like to know if the rumors are true that drpeppertx and teenitup used to SHILL for the TOBACCO industry back in their day of poisoning the public for profits ? Ah well. We know that we have legitimate hard science & facts supporting US on solid ground. Enjoy the rest of your weekend ;0}
